Hello All!

Hello All!

I'm new to this type of "platform"- but, let's see how it works out for us. This space is meant to provide our community with a safe zone to talk about all things political! It can be local, statewide or national. Remember to keep it kind and respectful- hate speech will not be welcomed, but differing opinions will be! Part of being in a small community means learning to engage respectfully with each other, but also making sure that all of our voices are being heard. With that said, on to the discussions! Looking forward to this group.

Hi All! In case folks are wondering about where to even begin a conversation, I've got a few thoughts of my own. With the election under a month away, I'm sure we are all feeling a little extra stress. This page does not strictly have to be 'political'- that is a very broad term. You should feel like you can raise social justice issues, environmental issues, thoughts on our states educational system, taxes, equity and affordability in our state. There are SO many big ticket item's right now and sometimes engaging with them can be hard. So, I would like to ask folks what you feel are some of the most pressing issues for our community, our state, and then if you so please, nationally. What's been sitting heavy with you? What has inspired you to become a more active voice?

Have folks been listening to our local debates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor?

Please feel free to post articles, books or films that you've come across that others might find interesting. An engaged citizenship is a good thing!
